“ I'm so used to eating chapatis that are thick as a carpet and it was a delight to find a proper thin whole-wheat roti here.(I bought a few extras to take home and freeze). Paneer pahadiya and chicken pahadiya were flawless and the side dishes were all also excellent. No batch cooking here, all freshly prepared and with interesting careful flavours. The owner is a sweetheart and very gently hospitable. This is one of those hidden gems- don't miss it if you appreciate authentic south Asian food. Extremely reasonably priced too! ”

Really friendly server who told us about the food and offered to add or remove anything we wanted or didn’t want. Food came out after fifteen minutes and was really fresh. Was unlike any other vindaloo I’ve had before with a thicker sauce, full of chillies that gave it a nice crunch and a change from the usual base gravy heavy dishes. Really impressed. Highly recommend and will definitely be going back! ”

“ This restaurant deserves all the possible review stars. Don’t let the decoration or interior fool you ... the food is great and made with care and love. Everything was freshly made and very tasty. Dolma and Deepak are really kind people who advise their customers and they know what they talk about. This was a really nice and human experience unlike loads of other restaurants where servers are only looking at their mobile phone and in the meanwhile they do a bit of their job. The owners want you to have a good evening and they can be proud of their food. We had the curry with paneer which was really delicious. The momo’s were very nice and the aubergine fritters were really good. If I would live in Eastbourne I would know where my favourite restaurant would be!!! PS My nine year old agrees with me. ”
